About ESRC

The Environmental Sciences Research Centre (ESRC) is a multidisciplinary research and postgraduate training centre carrying out fundamental and applied research in Environmental Sciences. Since 2004 ESRC actively contributes to the training of future scientists through the sharing of expertise and resources among researchers and institutions to facilitate the development of leading edge research in the region.

Our researchers are members of the following institutions:

We have collaborations with researchers at the Meteorological Service of Canada (Environment Canada), Université du Québec à Montréal. Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory at Columbia University, University of East Anglia, and Dalhousie University.

We are supported by funds from the Atlantic Innovation Fund (AIF-ACOA), Canadian Foundation for Climate and Atmospheric Sciences (CFCAS), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), the Canadian Foundation for innovation (CFI), the Canada Research Chairs Program, and the Atlantic Computational Excellence Network (ACEnet).
